We have a belated holiday gift for you. It’s in the form of a story about a woman caught snorting cocaine at a police station. Or trying to, anyway. There is a time and place for cocaine. Say you’re standing in the upstairs bathroom of the Rainbow Bar and Grill and the ghost of Lemmy Kilmister swoops down from the heavens and cuts you out a rail. That would be an optimal time and place to give some of that Columbian go-go powder a little toot.
Now, let’s pretend you’re somewhere else. Say, sitting in a police station, somewhere in Connecticut, waiting to talk to the cops about a reckless driving complaint. We’re going to go out on a limb here and say that’s probably not the best environment to do a line of coke.
But that did not stop a Connecticut woman from making an admiral attempt at such a lunatic stunt. Here’s what happened when she tried snorting cocaine at a police station.
The story begins on Christmas Day. The Ledyard Police Department received word that a black Kia SUV was terrorizing the local streets. It seemed that someone was driving around town a little too erratically for a day designated to celebrate the birth of the baby Jesus.
Being a small town, it didn’t take long before police were able to match the description of the vehicle with 25-year-old Nicole Hunter. So, they decided to drive over there to find out what inspired her to drive like a bat out of hell.
When police showed up at her home, they spotted the Kia. The officers were about to knock at the front door to have a little chat with Hunter when they realized that she was still sitting in the driver’s seat—just hanging out.
This, of course, struck them as a bit odd, considering how cold it was outside. So they motioned for her to roll down her window in hopes of engaging in a more intimate conversation.
Perhaps this is where Hunter could have saved herself from the perilous grips of law enforcement on Christmas. But that’s not at all that happened, according to the Hartford Courant.
